Roll up your sleeves and get ready!

The Property Drafting Workshop will focus on the transfer of registered title forms (using Land Registry Form TP1 for illustration purposes) covering various examples of covenants, easements, declarations and others. The workshop design involves practical hands-on learning

Methodology and Structure

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions; we have taken into consideration your words of wisdom!

  • Case Study: One day before the workshop, you will receive access to the workshop case study, which will be used throughout the workshop (you will need a Google/Gmail Account to access it). You have 2 options: either (i) attempt the exercise in advance and use the time of the workshop to learn, review and compare (recommended); or (i) complete the exercise during the workshop.

  • Basics: The Tutor will start with an overview of the common parts of the transfer of registered title forms and run through a list of key legal concepts that could be relevant to completing transfer forms.

  • ‘Spot & Classify’: Preptacklers will be divided into smaller groups to analyse the case study. This exercise is focused on analysing facts and instructions given to you to identify the matters that need to be addressed when completing such forms. The Tutor will then illustrate the 'Spot & Classify' analysis of the case study.

  • Drafting: Preptacklers will be divided into smaller groups to complete Form TP1. You will carry out this exercise individually; however, you will have the option to discuss with others in your group. The Tutor will then show you how to complete Form TP1 panel-by-panel based on the case study.

On Monday, 5th July 2021, from 5 to 9 PM (BST).
