COMPLETED

Roll up your sleeves and get ready!

You asked. We listened! We're running a Business Drafting Workshop on Friday, 11th March 2022, 6-10 PM (GMT), provided we reach a minimum number of subscribers by 9th March (Booking Deadline).

Looking for some insight into what to expect?

The Workshop will focus on drafting board minutes and different types of resolutions. The Workshop is designed to involve practical hands-on learning. We’ll have 2 tutors leading the Workshop.

Here’s how it works

  • Case Study: You'll get access to the Workshop Case Study one day before the Workshop (you’ll need a Gmail/Google account to access it).

  • Pre-work: Here’s how you can do it! You have 2 choices. Either(i) try-out the Case Study exercise in advance (recommended) and use the Workshop time to learn, review, discuss and compare; or (ii) complete the exercise during the Workshop.

  • Part (1) Putting together the 'Routine Parts'

We'll go over the typical parts of board minutes and tell you how to complete them.

  • Part (2) 'Who-Decides-What' Challenge

Ready for a challenge? To spice things up, we'll host a live game to test your knowledge.

  • Part (3) Stop & Think Exercise

You will be divided into smaller groups in breakout rooms to analyse the Case Study and complete the ‘Stop & Think’ checklist. This exercise teaches you how to turn instructions and facts into clear, actionable tasks using a simple thought mapping techniqueFollowing that, the Tutor will show you how we applied the approach to the Case Study.

  • Part (4) 'Let's Draft' Exercise

You will be asked to draft the required minutes and resolutions on your own based on the Case Study. You will carry out this exercise individually; however, you will have the option to talk it over with the others in your group. Following that, the Tutor will then walk you through a sample draft.

Handouts

Following the Workshop, you’ll receive the following:

  1. Generic minutes skeleton with drafting guidance notes.

  2. Business Drafting Mock Assessment (Case Study)

  3. Guidance on the thought mapping process with a sample ‘Stop & Think’ checklist showing you how we applied the approach to the Case Study.
